I have gambled on countless of rounds of twenty-one. I started working my way into the casinos when I was still underage. I have bet on online 21, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. Given all that I have still spent all kinds of bankroll at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the game.
I still like the game and gamble on a regular basis. Over the years I have enjoyed a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get loaded with this method or defeat the house, however you will experience a lot of fun. This method is centered on the idea that blackjack seems to be a match of streaks. When you’re on fire your hot, and when you’re not you are NOT!
I gamble with basic strategy chemin de fer. When I lose I wager the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I don’t win again I wager the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the bet back down to the original bet.
I am very strict and never "chicken out". It gets very enjoyable on occasion. If you win a few hands in a row your wagers go up very fast. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a number of years back with $750 after 30 minutes using this tactic! And a few months ago in Atlantic City I left a game with $1200!
You have to understand that you can say good-bye to a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be amazed at the streaks you witness wagering this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a 5 dollar table.

Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the original forty dollar bet

Take 80 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial eighty dollar bet
Wager eighty dollar
Leave $80 paid to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar
Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 160 dollar wager
If you left at this moment you would be up 315 dollar !!
It’s hard to go on a run this long, but it can happen. And when it does you mustn’t deviate and drop your wager or the final result will not be the same.
