I have gambled on millions of rounds of 21. I started working my way into the gambling dens when I was sixteen. I have played online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. Given all that I have still lost a lot of money at vingt-et-un. The gambling halls have made it basically impossible to beat the game.
I still enjoy the game and wager on a frequent basis. Over the years I have wagered on a variation of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get flush with this tactic or defeat the house, however you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is built on the fact that chemin de fer appears to be a game of streaks. When you are hot your hot, and when you’re not you are NOT!
I bet with basic strategy twenty-one. When I don’t win I bet the table minimum on the successive hand. If I lose again I bet the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. Once I win I take the payout paid to me and I wager the original bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I lower the bet back down to the original value.
I am very strict and never "chicken out". It gets extremely enjoyable on occasion. If you win a few hands in series your bets go up very fast. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic streaks a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Wynn a few years back with $750 after 45 mins using this technique! And a couple of days ago in Sin City I left a game with $1200!
You need to understand that you can squander much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be amazed at the streaks you see betting this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a five dollar game.

Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $5 bet
Bet 5 dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 10 dollar
Bet $10
Take $10 paid to you, leave the initial ten dollar bet
Bet ten dollar
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total wager of $20
Bet $20
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $20 bet
Wager $20
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of forty dollar
Wager forty dollar
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 40 dollar wager
Bet $40
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total bet of eighty dollar
Bet 80 dollar
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $80 wager
Wager $80
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $160
Wager $160
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 160 dollar wager
If you departed at this instance you would be up $315 !!
It’s hard to go on a streak this long, but it often happen. And when it does you can NOT alter and drop your bet or the final result won’t be the same.
