I have played millions of hands of twenty-one. I started sneaking into the casinos when I was 16. I have played online twenty-one, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. With all that said I have still spent all kinds of money at blackjack. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the game.
I still like the game and wager on a regular basis. Over the years I have played a type of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get rich with this method or defeat the house, however you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is founded on the fact that chemin de fer appears to be a game of runs. When you’re on fire your hot, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I bet with basic strategy blackjack. When I do not win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I do not win again I wager the table minimum on the next hand again etc. Whenever I win I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the wager back down to the original bet.
I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely exciting on occasion. If you win a few hands in a row your bets go up very fast. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200per hand. I have had great streaks a number of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Palms a number of years ago with $750 after 20 mins using this technique! And a number of days ago in Macau I left a table with $1200!
You must understand that you can give up a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be amazed at the runs you see wagering this way. Here is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a 5 dollar table.
Wager five dollar
Take $5 paid-out to you, leave the original 5 dollar bet
Bet $5
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total wager of ten dollar
Wager ten dollar
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the first 10 dollar wager
Bet ten dollar
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total wager of twenty dollar
Wager twenty dollar
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 20 dollar bet
Wager $20
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $40
Bet forty dollar
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 40 dollar bet
Bet $40
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total wager of eighty dollar
Wager 80 dollar
Take 80 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first eighty dollar bet
Wager 80 dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid to you for a total wager of $160
Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 1 hundred and 60 dollar wager
If you left at this moment you would be up 315 dollar !!
It is iffy to go on a run this long, but it will happen. And when it does you mustn’t alter and lower your bet or the end result will not be the same.
