I have bet on countless of rounds of 21. I started working my way into the casinos when I was 16. I have enjoyed online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. With all that said I have still spent a lot of money at blackjack. The gambling halls have made it very hard to defeat the game.
I still enjoy the game and play on a regular basis. Over the years I have played a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get rich with this tactic or defeat the casino, still you will have an abundance of fun. This method is based on the idea that 21 seems to be a game of streaks. When you’re hot your on fire, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I bet with basic strategy twenty-one. When I do not win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the next hand. If I do not win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand again etc. As soon as I hit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I lower the action back down to the original bet.
I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets extremely enjoyable sometimes. If you win a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quick. Before you realize it you are gambling $100-200per hand. I have had great runs a few times now. I departed a $5 table at the Palms a couple of years ago with $750 after 45 mins using this technique! And a few days ago in Macau I left a game with $1200!
You must understand that you can give away a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be aghast at the runs you notice gamble this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a five dollar game.

Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $5 wager
Wager $5
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 10 dollar
Wager 10 dollar
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 10 dollar bet
Bet ten dollar
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total wager of twenty dollar
Wager twenty dollar
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 20 dollar bet
Wager 20 dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 40 dollar
Wager 40 dollar
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 40 dollar bet
Wager 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total wager of eighty dollar
Wager 80 dollar
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $80 bet
Bet eighty dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 160 dollar
Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the original $160 wager
If you departed at this point you would be up $315 !!
It’s herculean to go on a streak this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you mustn’t deviate and drop your wager or the end result won’t be the same.
